Supplying the event industry with audio and visual equipment for purchase or hire for over 50 years, NSR Communications is a company that has long been associated with the equine event world, which includes many annual shows, covering the whole spectrum of equine disciplines.  The largest of these events has to be the world famous Horse of the Year Show, held at the NEC in October, which is the pinnacle of any equine career.

The NSR team had a total of 20 different services into the Show this year ranging from the radio mics for the International arena plus a full PA system with radio mics and double decker commentary box in the Caldene arena.  Supplying PA systems for the arenas was just the start of NSR’s involvement in the show.  They also added to their list of services, call up systems for the competitor collecting areas, communication provision for the horse lines in the stable area plus fixed backstage cameras along with monitors previewing ‘behind the scenes’ action to help the production team keep the show slick.

The NEC was home for the NSR team for 2 weeks, which included the 5 days of the Show.  Following five days of exciting showing and show-jumping classes, horse enthusiasts were pleased to see Katie Jerram and her horse Dunbeacon ride away with the 2010 Supreme Horse of the Year title, while Laura Renwick and her ride Oz de Breve win the 2010 Leading Show Jumper of the Year class.
