Football is probably the most popular sport in British culture and many players and clubs have reached legendary status over the generations.  Recently NSR has been involved with two high profile football events; the screening of the classic Arsenal film ‘Fever Pitch’ and the much anticipated 2011 Champions League Final at Wembley.  

Contracted by ADI TV; on Monday 23rd May NSR set-up the PA system for the big screen installed by ADI to show this iconic film that concentrates on Arsenal’s first division championship winning season in 1988-89.  A once in a lifetime opportunity, Arsenal fans were invited to watch the film sitting on the hallowed turf of the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s home ground.  Needless to say it was a popular event attracting countless footie film buffs.

Less than a week later on Saturday 28th May NSR were at Wembley Stadium for the Champions League Final between two legendary teams; Manchester United and Barcelona.  With two jobs to do in the run up to the game, NSR provided a two-tier commentary box for Ignite Productions plus a PA system for ADI’s big screen on Wembley walk showing highlights of the qualifying rounds leading up to the final.  It was an exciting game; to the great delight of Man U fans Manchester United equalised following Barcelona opening goal. Unfortunately they eventually succumbed to the favourites, Barcelona, in a 3-1 defeat at the final whistle.
