Two teams, three weeks, seven shows!  Two NSR teams were dispatched in different directions from the middle of May to the beginning of June as seven County Shows came in quick succession; with two running over the same dates, all requiring full PA systems as well as timing equipment, commentary boxes, hand held two-way radios and microphones.

It was a test of stamina but NSR passed with flying colours.  Amongst the seven events were some of the biggest County Shows in the UK and included:  Devon County Show (19-21 May), Heathfield & District Agricultural Show (28 May), Hertfordshire County Show (28 & 29th May), Surrey County Show (30 May), The Royal Bath & West Show (1-4 June) and running over the same three days; South of England Agricultural Show (9-11 June) and Royal Cornwall Show (9-11 June).  

To add to the pressure following hot on the heels of this County Show madness was the RAF Cosford Air Show near Wolverhampton (12th June 2011), which meant a third NSR team.   

NSR Director, James Walker commented: “It’s great to be busy; there were never any uncertainties about how we would achieve everything in the last couple of weeks.  We’ve got a remarkable team here at NSR, which really comes into its own in situations like this.”
