Up, Up and Away

There may have been lots going on skyward over the last few weeks but the NSR teams have kept their feet firmly on the ground providing an array of audio equipment and commentary units for a succession of the UK’s most popular Air Shows.

Using over 3,400m of cable at Cosford alone NSR began its Air Show tour at RAF Cosford Air Show in the middle of June.  One of the UK’s top aviation events, Cosford Air Show attracts thousands of people for a day of wonder and excitement and NSR were on hand to provide full frontline PA, which required over a kilometre of cable, a hangar system and second row delay all adding to the aerial excitement.

During a three week gap between Air Shows the NSR teams were kept busy with several sporting events in and around London, arriving in Somerset at the beginning of July to set-up for RNAS Yeovilton Air Day, providing a full PA system (another 1,650m of cable) and the main commentary unit.  Yeovilton was followed by the Fairford Royal International Air Tattoo, in Gloucestershire, where a two story commentary unit was placed in situ to house the commentators for, what is probably, the most famous Air Show in the UK.

The culmination of NSR’s Air Show tour was RNAS Culdrose Air Day in Cornwall on Wednesday 20th July.  The last of the cabling was laid for another full PA system, which amounted to 2,200m, a total of 7,250m in just over a month.  You can be sure that the atmosphere created on the ground by NSR at all four Air Shows equally matched the exciting atmosphere created by displays overhead.
