Field of Remembrance and Harrow Council’s Memorial Event

Back To News >>

Remembrance Day is always emotional but this year it was particularly poignant as we remembered our service men and women who have fought for and are still fighting for their country on the 11th day of the 11th month in the 11th year; a date that only comes around once in a century!

On 10th November, NSR had the honour of providing the external communications equipment for The Field of Remembrance service at Westminster Abbey, which included a number of EV speakers, amplifiers and microphones that were used to project the service to those attending and listening outside.  NSR also supplied an additional PA system covering the lawn area in front of the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre, which was used as a public viewing area.  The Duke of Edinburgh joined hundreds of ex-service men and women, as well as many who currently serve in our forces today, for a touching and heart-rending service of remembrance.

On Remembrance Sunday there were many remembrance services around the country including a memorial event at Harrow Civic Centre where a band and choir performed a variety of emotive pieces throughout the service that were projected via 12 of NSR’s microphones that covered the memorial area, two grandstands and the car park.
