A Tale of 2 Counties!
Back To News >>
It wasn’t Dickens’ brooding tale of 2
cites but rather a huge jubilee celebration in the town of
Goring on Thames, which is cut in two by this majestic river
leaving part in Oxfordshire and the other in Berkshire!

Featured on both the Beeb and Sky TV,
Goring on Thames’ street party celebrating the Queen’s
Diamond Jubilee was recorded as the longest in England,
requiring 400m of cabling for the PA system installed by the
NSR team.
However, the street party at Goring on
Thames was only part of the story for NSR during this
historic event as they had installed a whole host of
communications equipment including PA systems, control units
and timing equipment for the Surrey County Show, Herts
County Show and the Royal Bath & West Show, all of which
took place over the long weekend.

In addition, two teams were deployed in
opposite directions to set-up communications systems for the
Royal Cornwall Show and the South of England Show. Phew!
