London, culturally and artistically, is one of the most diverse cities in the world and home to many famous art collections and annual art exhibitions. With Chelsea Hospital and Berkeley Square as backdrops, the team from NSR became part of the art world when they were recently tasked to provide full PA systems for two memorable events within the art and interior design sector; Decorex and Lapada, which, running almost back to back, were a challenge but nothing NSR couldn’t handle!

The annual trade exhibition for the interior design industry, Decorex took place in two temporary structures within the grounds of Chelsea Hospital. Both measuring approximately 110m long, 50m wide and 30m in height, this temporary venue was reported to be the largest unsupported structure in Europe and it was NSR’s job to scale these dizzy heights to install a complete PA system for the event. The job was undertaken in 3 stages; installing PA firstly in hall one, returning to install PA in hall two before coming back a third and final time to install the amplifiers for the system. It was a gruelling job but completed, as always, on time and to specification.

The art and antique trade show, organised by The Association of Art and Antique Dealers, took place soon after in a two-storey temporary structure that covered half of Berkeley Square, providing three halls and a restaurant for the event. Again NSR was tasked to install a complete PA system for the event, which attracted many a professional art and antique dealers from around the country.

It’s all about the art and design and the NSR team is looking forward to being involved in both events again next year.
