NSR has the Power to Hydrate
Back To News >>
London Marathon Limited, organisers of the Prudential
Ride London, tasked NSR with the job of keeping
thousands of cyclists hydrated for this inaugural cycle
race.
Throughout the gruelling 140mile course there were
regular cycle hubs where cyclists had access to repair
services as well as fresh water and toilet facilities.
At six of these sites, located in very remote areas
throughout the Surrey countryside, NSR supplied
generators to power the water pumps that delivered clean
filtered water from huge water tanks to the cyclists on
the course.
Also at two additional sites NSR were required to source
power from permanent buildings to power the water pumps.
This involved running cables from the buildings to the
water distribution equipment’s location on the site
Some of the world’s top cyclists were involved including
Laura Trott who went on to win. Next year’s event is on
Saturday 9th August and is already being planned with
50,000 cyclists currently registered to take part.
